This teapot is part of a tea set. An identical set was exhibited at the Exhibition des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes in Paris in 1925. Hoffmann designed the Austrian pavilion in cooperation with Oswald Härtl. Wiener Werkstätte silverwork, including the Hoffmann set, was exhibited in hand-painted showcases by Christa Ehrlich.
