Between 1905 and 1913, the traditional textile factory Herrburger & Rhomberg in Dornbirn commissioned Otto Prutscher to design a range of textiles such as tablecloths, cushion covers, bedspreads and a carpet. The manager of the company’s Vienna branch, Hermann Flöge, was married to Gertrude Paulick. Her father's villa on Lake Attersee became a favourite summer residence and meeting place for the Flöge sisters, the painter Gustav Klimt, the puppeteer Richard Teschner and many other artists.
