The sculpture was sold at the Rena Rosenthal Gallery in New York.
According to Mrs. Jesch's expert opinion, the horse heads’ design dates from 1935, model no. 3909. In 1952, this object was reissued with a slightly modified expressive mane as model no. 9349.
