Pupil of A. v. Schrötter at the styrian art school in Graz-Kroisbach (1901/10). Kst. school in Graz-Kroisbach (1901/10), then F. Schmutzers in Vienna (1911/1 6) a. H. v. Hayek in Dachau. 1916 return to Graz. At first mainly animal painter (Brangwyn declared her the greatest animal actress of the present). 1928 in North Africa. Dramatic animal compositions (lions breaking into the kraal; dying lion pierced by arrows). Later decoratively effective, powerfully stylised figure compositions: Dancing Women, Dancing Men, Bird Hunters etc. Repeatedly awarded: 1906 silver, 1922 gold. Med. of the city of Graz.
