Vienna 1878 - 1960 Hamburg

Carl Otto Czeschka studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts (1894-1899). He became a member of the Vienna Secession (1900), an assistant teacher or instructor at the Vienna School of Applied Arts (1902-1907), and an employee of the Wiener Werkstätte (from the fall of 1905). Even after his appointment to the Kunstgewerbeschule Hamburg (1907), he continued his design work for the WW.

He created designs for all branches of arts and crafts and commercial art; his most important book art work is the illustrations for the "Nibelungen" (1909).
