1898 - 1904 Studied at the Vienna Academy, then in Munich and Paris. 1905 - 10 Hagenbund member, from 1914 member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus. Numerous study trips to Italy, France, Holland, Russia and Egypt. Lived in Vienna, in the summer stays at the Grundlsee. From 1938 in England. Painter of the New Objectivity. He painted rural scenes, landscapes and portraits.
