Studied at the Berlin Academy under Lovis Corinth.
Painting enduringly influenced by Max Liebermann and German Impressionism.
Study tours in France (Provence) and Italy of longer duration.
Initially a theatre and figure painter, later exclusively landscapes. Also illustrations (lithographs) for Heinrich von Kleist’s Amphytrion, Vienna,1924.
Gabor lived in Vienna till 1935 and was the business director of the Österreichischen Werkbundes. (1928) Colour concept for the Vienna Work Association Houses.
