From 1906 to 1910, Peche studied at the Vienna Academy under Ohmann and at the Technical University under König and Ferstel. In 1915, he joined the Wiener Werkstätte, where he and Josef Hoffmann were the ones who set the company’s style. From 1917 to 1918, he furnished a subsidiary in Zurich, which he then headed. Peche was a multi-faceted artist who worked with a wide variety of materials and created furniture, interior decoration, ceramics, metal works, jewellery, toys, costumes and stage scenery.
